Managing stress can be tough when you have more important things to worry about. Work, family issues, and financial obligations are just some of that contribute to stress, but also distract you from managing it. If you feel like you never have any time for yourself, it means it's that much more important to leave a little me-time. Here are four ways to take a short break from your busy schedule to recover from a busy day. 

1. Exercise

Exercise has many benefits, and it's a great way to relieve stress. Light-intensity workouts like yoga, Tai Chi, and pilates can break up the long work hours and have you feeling refreshed. Don't have the time for a quick stretch during your break? A short walk around the block after your meal can even help. 

2. Find a Hobby

Leisure activities can be a wonderful way to relieve stress. It's essential to have a bit of fun outside of everyday chores. Try learning a new skill like painting, crochet, or taking a dance class. The possibility is endless!

3. Take a Break

It's important to de-stress and press pause on a busy schedule that never seems to end. To prevent yourself from burning out with the list that keeps growing and overwhelming, give your mind a break from time to time. Your body needs rest with sleep, as your mind needs rest with breaks. Some breathing exercises can help calm your mind.

4. Encourage Yourself

Believe in yourself! Be confident that you'll find a way. If one method isn't working, trust that you can find another. Think about all the things you've learned in life. Most weren't easy the first time, like tying a shoelace. Everything, big or small, takes time to master, but with confidence and effort, you'll find a way. If you can believe it, you can do it. 

When you don't feel as stressed, you might find yourself getting things done more efficiently and faster. You'll then have more time for things that you enjoy!
